In these shots match on action is used. You can see that in the first shot she has started to deal the cards down, and that she has started dealing, and in the next shot she continues dealing it. This is done so that the audience don't see the cut because they focus on the card being put down. We start with a mid close up, this is because we cant see the characters face but would see torso if she was standing up. this helps the audience focus on the cards she is dealing which helps hide the cut to the next shot which is a mid shot of her continuing putting the cards down.
In these images eye line match is being used. in the first shot we see the women talking to a man and she looks to her right, this then makes the audience want to know what is on her right, therefore we cut to the shot of the man coming in through the door. We have a close up of the women which helps show the audience where her eyes move. Then we cut to a mid shot of the man coming in so we can see most of his body which tells us about him, like he is smartly dressed so could be a business man.
Shot reverse shot is used here as we see the man looking at the women and then it cuts to the women looking at the man. This is a close up of the women and man, it helps show the detail in their faces. They use this close up because showing the detail in there face helps show the mood she is in as well as how she feels. They are both positioned in the centre of the frame which makes the audience concentrate more. Both of the characters look to have nice smart clothes on, which shows they are not poor and have a good standard of living. These shots also use the 180 degree rule as they keep to the same side of the line which means it makes sense to the audience, where as if they had crossed the line we would be confused as they would look like they have crossed seats.
These images have been edited together using montage editing. They have used this editing because it was the best way to show the girls shopping and having fun. As you can see in the first shot the girl is on her own in a street but the next shot is her with a friend in a much darker location. They have contrasted the light as it helps show it is montage editing and not bad continuity editing. These shots are both mid shots and they both show the setting a little. Also the costumes of the blond girl seem to have changed slightly which also tells us this is montage editing.
